I highly recommend looking into some gameplay footage on youtube. I find it worth it, but understandably it's not for everyone. If you own ARMA 2 or both ARMA 2 and ARMA 3 you can bring the content into either ARMA 2 or ARMA 3 and there is still very much a community behind it. The multiplayer for the vanilla game is dead. If this is important to you, look elsewhere. To the point that in some cases it can not be completed. The single player campaign is notoriously buggy. However, there are a couple of things to note about Iron Front. However, if you're looking for a simulation like experience and your primary gameplay to be custom made missions made by yourself or the community, then I'd recommend Iron Front. If you're looking for a story directed single player, pick up Enemy Front. I rather enjoy it, but whether it's worth it or not depends on what you're looking for.
